Ban Hammer is a gear that was published in the marketplace by Roblox on May 5, 2009. It is gifted to a relatively small group of moderators on Roblox as well as users who have reported serious vulnerabilities in the site or engine or sometimes given to those who do significant voluntary work as a thank you gift. Former moderators who received this item are able to keep it as regular users. As of December 4th, 2023, it has been favorited 92,100 times.

Function[]

When equipped in-game, users can click to knock other players down. Double-clicking flings them far distances and may even kill the player if they fly off the map. It also makes an explosion sound upon impact, though an explosion itself never occurs.

Trivia[]

This section is a trivia section. Please relocate any relevant information into other sections of the article.

  • Many players say that they were "hit by the ban hammer" when talking about how they were banned on Roblox; however, the ban hammer does not issue out bans.
  • Due to Roblox updates, many model versions of this gear are broken.
  • The Ban Hammer's knockback feature does not function with FilteringEnabled because the entirety of its coding relies on LocalScripts to operate.
  • The Ban Hammer does not feature a pose for R15 avatars and puts the player in a rigid default pose.
  • Its ownership was transferred from Shedletsky to the Roblox account on September 1, 2016.
  • Two players, moded and Seenall, contributed massively to the community by reporting website vulnerabilities to Roblox staff. They both earned this item.
  • According to its internal scripts; Stravant (xLegox at the time) created its first iteration; BLOX31 gave animations and ideas for it; Gkku designed its visuals, sounds, and fixed it; and Luckymaxer also fixed it later on.
