Sometimes in various cases, your ROBLOX client can break to the point of not running at all. There is an easy way to fix this; just follow this tutorial!
Okay, first off to perform a clean install:
Go to your Control Panel and remove ROBLOX Player and ROBLOX Studio. (none of your projects are harmed while doing this, but back them up in case.)
You need to remove your AppData ROBLOX Folder.
If you don't know how to get to it, you can use a batch file to remove it for you.
To make a batch file, go to Notepad and paste this in:
@echo off echo This batch file will remove your ROBLOX files for a clean install. pause echo Before we continue, we need to close all ROBLOX related processes. echo Closing those now for you... taskkill /F /IM RobloxStudioBeta.exe > NUL taskkill /F /IM RobloxPlayerBeta.exe > NUL echo Closed ROBLOX related processes. echo Removing AppData ROBLOX Folders... rmdir /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Roblox" >NUL rmdir /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\RbxLogs\" >NUL echo Done! pause
Then, save that as a .bat file and run it.
After that is done, you have removed ROBLOX off your computer completely.
Now, here is what you do to get it back:
- Go to setup.roblox.com/Roblox.exe
- When the file is done downloading, find the file and double click on the file.
- Let ROBLOX install itself on your computer.
- After that's done, you have successfully performed a clean install of ROBLOX on your computer!
To get Studio back, double click the Studio icon on your Desktop and let it install also.
If you followed all the steps in this tutorial, you should have reinstalled ROBLOX.
