Ultimate Driving: Newark is the third installation in the Ultimate Driving Experience series. It first opened on December 25, 2015.[citation needed] As of July 2023, it has 8,987,923 visits. This Experience is currently closed to the public as it is being updated.
Gameplay and map[]
Like the other Ultimate Driving Experiences, Ultimate Driving: Newark is a Town and City Experience that is set on a large map. The Ultimate Driving: Newark map features a city with multiple buildings and shopping centers. An interstate runs directly through the core of downtown. Various houses can be found all over the map, which can be bought with a Pass. Players can drive a variety of cars that can be bought with in-Experience currency.
Initial release and shutdown[]
Ultimate Driving: Newark was first released on December 25, 2015.[citation needed] As soon as it was released, it immediately became a big hit and charted the front page. Ultimate Driving: Newark was praised due to its large map, outstanding realism (at that time) and detailed roads. At the time, many people were calling it “the most realistic game on Roblox"[citation needed] and many gameplay reviews had already been made and uploaded to YouTube. For a long time, Ultimate Driving: Newark held the 3-5 spot on the front page on average. This changed when the main installment of the series, Westover Islands, was updated. The update revamped the appearance of vehicles which made them appear highly realistic due to the use of meshes, as opposed to the previous cars, which were made of simple bricks and ramps.
Ultimate Driving: Newark remained without getting the update until it closed, much to the dismay of the Ultimate Driving community. The closure was due to the fact that TwentyTwoPilots had also decided to completely revamp the Ultimate Driving: Newark map instead of simply updating the gameplay functions, making the Experience look more like its real life counterpart.[1] It was planned to be released in 2019[citation needed], but it did not get released then, and the release date is unknown as of now.
