Not to be confused with Game fraud.

Game Copying, also known as Place Copying or Game Stealing is the act of duplicating ones place, without credit or recognition to the original creator. Game copying can also mean stealing the idea, or concept of one game and adding to your own.

Welcome to the Neighborhood of Robloxia is a well known game that copied the 1dev2's Welcome to the Town of ROBLOXia theme and took some GUI's and Scripts. from the original game. Game Copying often happens with games that are uncopylocked, but can also happen because of exploits in the ROBLOX Client, except nowadays, it is no longer possible to steal server-sided scripts from the client, because the script sources do not replicate to the client (meaning the client doesn't have access to it), but these scripts can also be assessed by a Level 7 Exploit. Users copy places to gain visits or to manipulate other new users to believe that they are the original owner.

Users who use game copying

Many users with the skill copy games but some users stand out in this act. Jaredvaldez4 is arguably the most well known user for his skill in game copying as well as his half dozens of copied games and groups. A large amount of users who copy games often target uncopylocked games such as Galleons, Forward Ground: 1943 and other games.
