The types of accessories are hats, hair accessories, face accessories, neck accessories, shoulder accessories, front accessories, back accessories, and waist accessories. Necks and shoulders aren't accessories, but a shoulder accessory is an accessory for shoulders. Hats should not be called "hat accessories" because while they are indeed accessories, calling them "hat accessories" is at best redundant and at worst ambiguous. They're not accessories for hats in the same way shoulder accessories are accessories for shoulders. The words "back", "front", "waist", etc., describe where the accessory is worn, while the word "hat" describes what the accessory is.
