Hey Ajedi32. This meeting is for the moderation of Roblox wiki only. It will be at 7pm EST (New York City time) and will last approximately half an hour. It will take place on our wiki's chat. We will be discussing several issues that have been brought to our attention, including a few policies and wikifeatures. We will also be talking about the currently not perfect Defcon and ways to improve it, and also talking about ways to advertise our Roblox Clan Central.

Something scary I just noticed...
I just noticed my IP was this , which has in the past produced blunt vandalism. I've never before noticed this, and I find this quite odd because I'm quite certain I am on a private line. I'm deeply shocked by this, and I'm going to assume it was my younger brother who did this, as he did discover the wiki back when I discovered it. I'm quite sorry for the damage -whoever did this- done.

Fyi, it is possible for your IP address to change. But given your association with the wiki you could be right. Just remember to log out when you're not online so that whoever did that doesn't use your account to vadalize the wiki, we shouldn't have any problem reverting vandalism by an IP. User Article Requirements
Hi,
Just a question. The wiki rules state not to write articles about users with under 100,000 place visits, but what if the user isn't famous for their places, but for being a film maker? Some of the popular film makers would only get about 50-60,000 visits in total if they're lucky.

Building a Roblox Wikia fan place

I've come to the consensus that Roblox Wikia as a whole wants a place on Roblox. If you could build this place, it will promote this wiki. I want to discuss this further on chat soon.

We Need Better Category Organization
The wiki needs better category organization. Clone categories have been deleted, but the articles in them also need to be removed from them. It also needs to be clarified which categories need to be kept and which should be deleted. Having "Place", "Places", and "Games" as categories isn't very organized and makes it more difficult to find what does where.
My idea is to create a page list of official categories to use. For example, instead of adding each game page to three different categories of the exact same thing, make a list of categories that they should be added too if they fit the description. For example, on a page describing a hat, the list would say, add it to the category "Hats". This would prevent clone categories like "Hat" from popping up when not needed. Having an official category list would improve the wiki's organization and make it much easier for users to find the artcile they are looking for while limiting spam pages.

Unfortunately, I don't think that would do much good. My guess is that the users who are currently putting pages into non-existent categories aren't the type who would read a list like that in the first place. It is true though that there are a lot of "clone categories", as you put it. Pages that are in these duplicate categories should be moved to a single category instead. Actually, categories for things like places or items should just not be put manually, but instead be put by a template (this is actually already done, which means we could, if we wanted to, remove all the game, places and game categories from all pages and they would still be categorized under the places category). This way, if we ever want to change the category for whatever reason, we can just edit the template and it will change it on all the hundreds of corresponding pages. That is correct. Whenever possible, templates should be used. Aside from what Mark already mentioned, templates also help keep articles formatted consistently across the wiki and provide a helpful summary of information in articles that they are used in.
