Main page redirect

I don't understand why you're reverting the edits on the redirects to the main page. I'm making it redirect automatically to what is in MediaWiki:Mainpage because it contains the name of the actual main page. If we ever decide for whatever reason to change the name of the main page, then all the redirects will work immediately and we won't have to change anything. Right now, there are exactly 1000 unused files: Special:UnusedFiles?limit=20&offset=999.

And I already found a problem... most orphaned pages are item pages. If they were things like pages about scripting concepts, or building, or the website, etc, then just adding links to pages would make them not orphaned anymore. But when it comes to items, it's a bit harder. For example, take Catalog:ACSII White; I don't think there is any page in the whole wiki that should even contain a link to it. I just realized why there were and still are exactly 1000 unused files: the Special:UnusedFiles page only shows up to 1000 of them... which means there are probably a lot more.

Protected pages Edit
This wiki has a lot of protected pages, and I think something should be done about it. Many pages, for example, were indefinitely locked many years ago only because of vandalism.
Normally, pages should very rarely be indefinitely locked. Pages (other than very important pages like the main page) should not usually be locked in prevention of something but rather be locked to solve a problem. If a page has no vandalism problem, it shouldn't be locked just to prevent a possible future vandalism attack.
I think a cleanup of locked pages should be done; pages that do not really need to be locked should be unlocked. Of course, if a page is really critical to the wiki, if a template is used on hundreds of pages on the wiki or if a page has been vandalized recently, it shouldn't be unlocked. But otherwise, it really just should.
Currently, there are about 25 locked blog posts. That's very funny, because blog posts are actually only editable by the person who created them and by administrators. Special:ProtectedPages?namespace=500 --Mark Otaris (talk) 02:21, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

Oh. Well, anyway, I don't think it really matters, because only 5 persons voted, and I don't consider polls as a reliable way to take decisions. If we were actually able to know who voted on them and to restrict them to logged-in users (anonymous users who have never used a message wall or a talk page before should not be able to vote on which they prefer, obviously), then they could be good, but otherwise, they're just too easily manipulable. - Note that making positive edits in the same way would also be vandalism. Both consist of inserting bias into the page. Concerning the infoboxes... Edit
The descriptions of the player, place and group infoboxes should not be the descriptions set by their owner. They should be a description written by the editor adding the infobox. The only cases where it should be the description from the ROBLOX website is when it is the description of a catalog item, like a hat, gear, package, etc.
There are many reasons for this. The main reason is that there isn't much to say usually about catalog items, which is not true for players or places (most hat pages barely contain two paragraphs, while pages about players or places are usually much longer). Another reason is that the descriptions of items are endorsed by the ROBLOX staff.
This means that descriptions of places, groups and players should not be the description given by the player, but rather a description written by the wiki's community, that describes the element in question. Mark Otaris (talk) 23:04, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Can you please remind Wywulf to not create random place pages without putting the necessary work into them? He created the page "Be a Parent,Kid, or Pet" (Yes, including the comma space error) sometime last night or early this morning, and because of him not putting the effort into making the page look acceptable by the Wikia's standards (such as no infobox, a description of the page only two sentences long with hideous grammar, etc), I will possibly have to spend the rest of my morning making the page look somewhat acceptable if the mods do not delete the page because of the obvious grammar error in the title (it should be "Be a Parent, Kid, or Pet").

The old Urban Assault Forces page was dobed outdated by the HRs, so I was put to the heavy task of recreating it. It was deleted because of copying the old one, but his is just an updated version. Please restore, and if anything, delete the old version.
Well someone needs to make a edit to his page claiming he is dead. There have been multiple administrators claiming he has died, SML, MCA, GongFuTiger, Briguy, and more.

Is there a reason why the "Articles needing citations" category page was deleted? I just added a "fact" template to an article and noticed that the page I added is the only one there. - It definitely isn't. It is actually harmful. We should give as little attention as possible to vandals, and the way we're doing this right now is ridiculous. We don't need to "warn" people about vandalism: we just revert it. We don't need a complex warning system that just ends up making us waste time.
